Connector Optics’ production launch is announced at the RUSNANO booth at St.Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF 2011).
Production facilities in St.Petersburg comprises 300 sq.m. of clean rooms. Here the production of epitaxial wafers for ultra high-speed vertical-cavity surface-emitting lasers (VCSELs), photodiodes, and other optical and SHF-devices will be organized. The estimated designed capacity is 4,000 epitaxial wafers per year.
Connector Optics’ optical components transmit data at the highest speed – up to 40 Gbit/s per channel. They are an economically efficient solution for short distance data transmission - up to 200 m and provide low energy consumption.
